Information about your children's education
Registration in Cycle 1 – “Early School” is optional. Parents or guardians of children who have reached the age of three before September 1st of the current year (First Admission) or of children who have reached the age of three between September 1st and December 31st (Second Admission) receive a letter of information and registration for the coming school year from the Education Department of the Commune during the preceding month of February.
Children from the Second Admission may not yet be admitted to Cycle 1.1 (pre-school) in September of the following year.
Parents or guardians who have not received a letter of information are requested to contact the Education Department.
Parents or guardians of a child that has reached the age of 4 by September 1st of the current year and who reside in the Commune of Niederanven are contacted in writing by the Education Department during the preceding month of February.
Parents or guardians who have not received a letter of information are requested to contact the Education Department.
For children who move to the Commune of Niederanven during the year, parents or guardians are requested to contact the Education Department immediately after their registration at the Civil Registry office.
Once registered with the school secretariat, children are admitted to school and may follow the courses in the cycle and class that have been designated for them.
Parents or guardians residing in the Commune of Niederanven who decide to enrol their child in a private school, or in a public school in another commune, or in a school in another country, are required submit a certificate of school enrolment to the Education Department as early as possible.
Parents opting for home schooling are required submit a request to the Directory of “Région 10 – Grevenmacher”.

The School Committee was elected on the 22nd of May 2019 by the school staff for a term of 5 years. Mr Mike SCHMIT was appointed President of the School Committee by Minister Claude MEISCH on the proposal of the members of the School Committee.

The missions of the School Committee:
- draw up a proposal for the organisation of the school, taking account of the SDP ;
- draw up a school development plan (SDP) and participate in its evaluation;
- draw up a proposal for the distribution of the budget;
- give its opinion on any matter relating to the school;
- determining staff in-service training needs;
- organise the management of teaching materials and IT equipment;
- approving the use of teaching materials;
- ensuring the smooth induction of trainee teachers and educational and psycho-social trainees.

The director oversees the smooth running of the region's public fundamental schools and is responsible for the pedagogical and administrative management of the region's schools. The Director represents the Minister in the region's school communities and supports dialogue and consultation between the school partners.

The missions of the School Committee:
- coordinating proposals concerning the organisation of schools and the School Success Plan and issuing an opinion for the Commune Council;
- monitor the implementation of school organisation and school success plans;
- promote after-school activities;
- issuing an opinion on the reports drawn up by the SCRIPT and informing the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of anything it deems useful;
- issue an opinion on the school's budget proposals;
- participate in the development (construction, conversion) of school buildings

The pedagogical team is made up of all the teachers in a cycle. It meets once a week.
The missions of the pedagogical team:
- organise apprenticeships and differentiation;
- organise teaching support;
- work together on teaching materials;
- designing assessment situations;
- evaluate performance;
- consult with the ESEB.

- Mr SCHMIT Claude is the administrator for the pedagogical use of new technologies
- Ms STOOS Carole is a teacher specialising in the education of pupils with special educational needs
- Mrs DAMGÉ Jackie is responsible for welcoming children who have recently moved to the country
